Rev Brandon Gebhart

Rev. Brandon Lance Gebhart was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, which makes him a native California. He graduated from Claremont School of Theology, was ordained received his first appointment in 1989. In 1990, he married Gayle; in 1991, William was born. Pastor Brandon always said having all three happen in consecutive years helped him to keep track of how long he's been in the ministry, how long he's been married, and how old William is.
Pastor Brandon has served six churches during his time of active ministry: Fillmore First, El Segundo (as an associate); Van Nuys First; Temple City First; St. James, Pasadena; and Barstow First. When he was appointed to Barstow First, he and Gayle bought a house in Apple Valley, close to where his in-laws lived. In 2012, realizing he was not hearing as well as he used to and seeing the writing on the wall for the Methodist Church, Pastor Brandon went onto capacity leave. Since he needed to be connected to a Charge Conference while on leave, he and Gayle chose to be associated with the Victorville United Methodist Church. Although Pastor Brandon has been on incapacity leave, he is still waiting to hear God's plan for his future ministry.
